HMS Healthcare Chooses SmartLinx as Workforce Management Solutions Provider

EDISON, N.J. (July 23, 2018) — Texas-based HMS Healthcare recently switched the majority of its workforce management functionality to the SmartLinx solutions suite.

HMS found that the SmartLinx approach to labor management dovetailed with its business goals of reducing labor costs through improved efficiency. In addition, real-time access to data via the SmartLinx Schedule Optimizer and Time & Attendance modules enables HMS to better understand the health of each of its facilities at any given time. In evaluating software vendors, HMS considered this critical to developing a more concrete and predictable growth strategy.

Initially, HMS is rolling out the SmartLinx platform to its four Houston-area facilities:

  • The Grace Care Center at Cypress
  • Grace Care Center at Veterans Memorial
  • The Grace Care Center of Katy
  • Grace Care Center at Northpointe

The SmartLinx solutions suite is fully integrated, eliminating departmental silos. It also provides visibility across the board for organizations such as HMS with multiple facilities.

HMS will rely upon the SmartLinx Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) module to simplify reporting to the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). With staffing shortages plaguing the long-term care industry, HMS will be able to streamline its recruitment process with the Applicant Tracker System (ATS) and HR module.
